Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Early Modern International History (1500-1850) , commencing 1 September 2012.

In this role, you will teach, conduct research in early modern international history and contribute to departmental administration.

Candidates should have a research record and a proven ability to teach early modern international history (1500-1850). The department particularly welcomes applications from those with research expertise and interests in the history of European and non-European empires.

The Department is looking for a candidate of outstanding research potential with a developing record of publications in the field of early modern international history: this will include a completed PhD and a clear and viable strategy for future research. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong actual or potential reputation for research, and a commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Salary: From £40,634 - £47,047 pa inclusive
