There are job vacancies in department I “Bi- and Mulitlateral Development Coop-eration” for
Four Researchers (m/f), 50-100%

Salary according to German public service tariff (TVÖD) up to € 52.000,00 depending on qualifications;
The position can be filled immediately and is currently limited until 31 December 2012, with a possible extension until 31 December 2014 (subject to funding). The project team will carry out research and provide policy advice within the project ‘Aid and Development Effectiveness’ (http://tinyurl.com/aid-effectiveness-DIE-en) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Devel-opment (BMZ).

Qualifications and requirements:
- Masters degree, preferably PhD; strong academic record in one of these fields: economics, political science, public policy or human geography;
- Relevant research experience in a development context;
- Proven knowledge in at least one of the fields: political economy of aid; aid effectiveness; capacity development; monitoring and evaluation;
- Qualitative and/or quantitative research methods;
- Willingness to work in teams;
- Fluent spoken and written English; proficiency in German and another UN language is of advantage;
- Willingness and aptness to travel internationally within and outside Europe, including countries with a tropical climate.
