Pending approval of external funding The Faculty of Humanities, Department of History invites applications for 3 RESEARCH ASSOCIATES FOR THE PROJECT “World Order Narratives of the Global South”
- SALARY LEVEL 13 TV-L –
All positions in accordance with Section 28 subsection 3 of the Hamburg higher education act (Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG) commences on April 1, 2021 pending external funding.
These are fixed-term contracts in accordance with Section 2 of the academic fixed-term labor contract act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG). The term is fixed for a period of 3 years. The positions call for 39 hours per week. The positions are also suitable for part time employment.
Responsibilities: Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
Positions:
Research Associate with focus on America including Administration: Research in the frame of the project “World Order Narratives of the Global South”with a focus on the history of Latin America (75%) and administration in the project “World Order Narratives of the Global South” (25%).
Requirements: A university degree in a relevant subject plus doctorate. Fluent Portuguese (or Spanish) and English. Experience of several years in Latin America. Doctoral thesis about the history of Latin America, preferably of the twentieth century. Experience in academic administration.
