The ERC Advanced Grant Project “The Making of Monoculture: A Global History” (MaMoGH) offers a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. We are interested in candidates who recently completed a Ph.D. thesis on an agricultural production regime that can reasonably be described as monocultural and plan to prepare their manuscript for publication. Successful candidates will join the MaMoGH research group in October 2023 and become part of our endeavor to understand the resilience of monoculture, the mindsets of key stakeholders, and monocultural modes of crisis management. Fellows are expected to be in residence in Bochum and become involved in the activities of the research group.
Postdoctoral fellows will receive a tax-free stipend and support for conference travel. They will join a dynamic academic community in Germany’s largest urban area and receive support from the university’s Welcome Center.
