Our doctoral program in Global Studies is unique for being truly transdisciplinary, seeking to bridge humanistic and social sciences approaches, and foregrounding the importance of engaging global south scholarship and non-western epistemologies that broaden knowledge production and bring new perspectives to bear on pressing global issues impacting us all.
Faculty strengths – Faculty in the department have research strengths in global indigeneity, racial capitalism, global Asias, trafficking, urbanization, social movements, and critical environmental research
Admission criteria – Ideal candidates will have an outstanding record of academic achievement, a clear statement that outlines an exciting research agenda relevant to the field of Global Studies, and three strong letters of recommendation from faculty that are familiar with your academic achievements.
Funding – Applicants admitted into this program will receive six full years of funding.
