Call for Book Proposals: Studies in the Global Nineteenth Century

This book series, published by Liverpool University Press in cooperation with the Society for Global Nineteenth-Century Studies (www.global19c.com), encourages polycentric approaches to the study of the period between 1750 and 1914. It will feature groundbreaking work that explores developments within and among imperial entities, regions, and nations from comparative, transnational, transimperial, transpacific, and transatlantic perspectives. Written for an informed but not discipline-specific readership, research monographs and edited collections published in this series will investigate material culture forms, visual and literary texts, ideas, and sentient beings that transcend national boundaries. In so doing, they will engage critically with mobility and migration, imperialism and colonialism, and production and distribution, as well as travel, technologies, and varieties of exchange.

Proposals are warmly invited for the series; please contact Christabel Scaife or one of the series editors, Kevin A. Morrison or Steeve O. Buckridge, with a Proposal Submission Form (available at https://www.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/pages/global-studies). In addition to monographs and edited collections originally written in English, the series editors will also consider proposals for translations into English of important works that have been published in non-Anglophone markets.
