The Northwest Affiliate of the World History Association announces its 3rd Annual Conference, to be held October 14-15, 2006 at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Adam McKeown of Columbia University, author of Chinese Migrant Networks and Cultural Change, will be the keynote speaker. Come join us for an exciting program featuring new research and pedagogy in World History. Secondary teachers, university and college faculty, and graduate students are invited to submit individual paper proposals or full panel proposals. Proposals on any aspect of World History research or pedagogy are welcome, although we are especially soliciting proposals relating to the theme of integrating Pacific Rim history with World History. Proposals should include a 250-word abstract of each paper and a curriculum vitae for each presenter.
Deadline for proposals: June 15, 2006. Email as attachments to Heather Streets at Washington State University, Pullman: streetsh@wsu.edu.
