Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities (HSE, Moscow) is happy to invite you to open lectures of the summer school “Gender History of Eastern Europe: Methods and Perspectives.” Three lectures will be streamed online in the time indicated below at the Youtube channel of the summer school (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnT_AxLYPRHz9YdPed9j3Tg):

July, 1st: 15:15-16:45 “Women and wage work: experiences from state socialist Poland” (Natalia Jarska, IH PAN Warsaw; English)

July, 2nd: 15:00-16:30 “Mobilized intonation or Soviet ideology for a female voice?” (Galina Orlova, NRU HSE; Russian with English subtitles)

July, 3rd: 11:00-12:00 “The Unbearable Heaviness of Being: Critical Studies of Men & Masculinities” (Frank Karioris, University of Pittsburgh; English)

Videos will remain online after the premiere, however, during the indicated time, there will be a possibility of live discussion.
