Titel of Conference: Urban Europe in Comparative Perspective

You are warmly invited to take part in the Eighth International Conference on Urban History to be held in Stockholm 30th August - 2nd September 2006. The European Association of Urban Historians was established in 1989 with the support of European Union. Conferences are organised every two years. These biennial conferences provide a multidisciplinary forum for historians, sociologists, geographers, anthropologists, art and architectural historians, economists, ecologists, planners and all others working on different aspects of urban history.

Call for session topics
For the first stage we invite chairpersons to prepare and submit proposals for a session. These should be sent to the conference organiser by 15th January 2005 at the latest. There will be main sessions of up to ten papers and specialist sessions of up to five papers. All offers of a session will be considered. The International Commitee will make the final selection by the end of February 2005.
